Modes of operation

Key features

User authentication to encryption profile is certificate based.

Security officer authentication to management center is certificate based

One nicety of certificate based authentication is of course that it makes 2 factor authentication very easy. You only need to put keypairs and certificates on smart cards or USB tokens, provide the proper PKCS#11 module of CSP, and you're using strong authentication.

Uses SQL Server or Oracle DB for secure storage of encryption profiles

TS / Citrix client version available.

Persistent encryption possible.

Nice: you can exclude certain programs from transparant en/decryption, so eg. e-mail and browser software can't send plain copies of data, when those programs are compromised by eg. malware.

Nice: if you only plan to encrypt data on file shares, on SANs or NAS, on DFS environments, you can exclude eg. local drives from the transparant encryption process.
